Create Knowledge Space
Create storage spaces for enterprise or personal knowledge.
Overview
Knowledge spaces fall into three types: enterprise, personal, and system default. Creation rules vary by space type.
Before You Start
❗
-
Enterprise space permissions: Only super administrators can create enterprise spaces.
-
Personal space condition: The personal space capability must be enabled.
-
Version requirement: Use the current Knowledge Base 2.0 interface.
-
Information to prepare: Before creating an enterprise space, prepare the name, description, icon, and visibility scope.
Choosing a Space Type
- Enterprise space: Used for formal team knowledge. Only super administrators can create it.
- Personal space: Used for personal accumulation, collections, and private knowledge. It is created and used according to the personal space capability.
- Default knowledge space: Pre-provisioned by the system. It carries network disk, CRM, shared notes, and course data. Users cannot create, rename, or hide it.
Creating an Enterprise Space
- In the left navigation, find the Enterprise Spaces group and click New on the right side of the group.

-
Enter the space name. The name must be 1-50 characters, unique within the same scope, not contain only spaces, and cannot use reserved path characters such as
/or\. -
Optionally enter a space description, up to 200 characters.
-
Choose a space icon.
-
Configure in-enterprise permissions and external visibility. If no other in-enterprise object is configured, only the creator and super administrators can see the space.
-
Click Create Space.

After creation, the space appears in the Enterprise Spaces group on the left.

The creator automatically gets the Manage permission for the enterprise space, and this permission cannot be removed.
Creating a Personal Space
- In the left navigation, find the Personal Spaces group and click New.

-
Enter the name, description, and icon, as with an enterprise space.
-
Click Create Space.
A personal space is used to maintain personal knowledge. It can also serve as the knowledge scope for Ask AI. The sharing boundary follows the current online capabilities.
Management After Creation
The space More menu shows operations based on the space type and the current user’s permissions.

Deleting an enterprise space requires a second confirmation. A deleted space cannot be restored.
Expected Results and Verification
-
Reopen the corresponding pages with the current account.
-
Confirm that the new space appears in the correct group and that folders can be created in it.
