Initialize Knowledge Base

Complete the basic entry and usage checks for the knowledge base.

Overview

The knowledge base is delivered as an independent application. After a customer completes the purchase, the system automatically initializes the knowledge base and sets the system administrator as the application administrator by default. The App and Web application entries are also opened to the system administrator by default.

Before You Start

❗
  • Role permissions: Use an enterprise administrator or super administrator account.
  • Version requirement: Use the current Knowledge Base 2.0 interface.
  • Product condition: The customer has completed the purchase, and the system has automatically initialized the knowledge base.

Post-Initialization Checks

  1. In the application list under System Settings, confirm that the Knowledge Base is enabled.

Web and mobile app entry configuration

Knowledge base homepage entries
  1. In the frontend, configure the members and the space/folder resource permissions that need to use the knowledge base. In the backend, keep only the Knowledge Base Administrator role.

  1. If AI capabilities are used, check the Agent development platform, AI capacity units, and the Knowledge Base Agent presets.

Entry Configuration

Administrators can configure the knowledge base Web or mobile menu in the application views under System Settings.

Initialization vs. Resource Permissions

An account that can enter the knowledge base does not necessarily have access to all knowledge. After members reach the homepage, enterprise spaces, folders, knowledge, search results, and the AI scope are still filtered by resource permissions.

Expected Results and Verification

  1. Reopen the corresponding pages with the current account.
  2. Confirm that regular members can enter the knowledge base homepage according to the granted permissions.
