Analysis agent

Overview

Analysis Agent is an intelligent data analysis assistant designed for business scenarios. It supports natural language or voice querying, statistical chart recall and generation, AI insights, anomaly diagnosis, attribution analysis, and decision recommendations. It can also automatically generate data analysis reports, helping users complete an analysis loop from data querying and trend insight to business action recommendations.

Core concepts

Concept Description
Analysis Agent A product feature that provides conversational intelligent data analysis.
Statistical chart A data chart that Analysis Agent can recall, generate, or use for AI insights.
AI insight Data summaries, trend analyses, and decision recommendations generated based on a statistical chart.

Analysis loop

Initiate analysis → Recall or generate a statistical chart → AI insight → Business action
Analysis Agent first understands the user’s analysis need, then recalls an existing statistical chart or generates a new one, and finally outputs insights and action recommendations based on the chart data.

Applicable roles

Role Usage
Business user Ask questions in natural language or by voice, and view statistical charts, data insights, and action recommendations.
Data analyst Based on existing or newly generated statistical charts, quickly understand trends, fluctuations, anomalies, and data differences.
Administrator Enable the AI insight entry for statistical charts so that users can initiate analysis directly from a chart.

Core capabilities

Natural language querying

Analysis Agent understands analysis needs expressed as text or voice, and recalls matching statistical charts from the following sources:
  • Out-of-the-box preset chart library;
  • Custom statistical charts in the tenant.
Recalled statistical charts support full-screen viewing and viewing details. If no suitable existing chart is available, Analysis Agent generates a statistical chart based on the metrics, time range, and analysis dimensions you describe. Generated charts support full-screen viewing, preview, and saving. You can continue to view AI insights or ask follow-up questions about the result.
[!TIP] Using the “Time range + Metric + Dimension” expression helps Analysis Agent understand your need more accurately and generate a statistical chart. For example: “Sales revenue trend of each product over the past three months.”

AI insights and action recommendations

AI insights are generated based on recalled or generated statistical charts and include:
  • Data summaries;
  • Trend analysis, anomaly fluctuation, or data difference identification;
  • Decision recommendations and follow-up action suggestions.
With AI insights, users can quickly understand the business changes behind the data without manual calculation or repeated data comparison.

Before you begin

Before using Analysis Agent, confirm that:
  • You can enter ShareAgent and switch to Analysis Agent;
  • The Hive platform License and the Analysis Agent License have been purchased, and the current user belongs to the ShareAgent role;
  • The current session supports text or voice input for questions;
  • If you need to recall existing charts, statistical charts that Analysis Agent can recall exist in the tenant.

Quick start: Complete your first data analysis

  1. Enter ShareAgent.
  2. In the agent area in the lower-left corner of the conversation box, switch to Analysis Agent.
  3. In the dialog box, type or speak your analysis need, for example: “Which products have poor sales and need focused attention?”
  4. Wait for Analysis Agent to return the matching statistical chart and AI insights.
  5. Review the data summary, trend analysis, and action recommendations. To analyze further, ask follow-up questions.

Expected result

  • The current session displays a statistical chart that matches your question;
  • You can view the data summary or action recommendations;
  • You can ask follow-up questions based on the result to add filter conditions, statistical criteria, or display dimensions.

Natural language querying

Analysis Agent prioritizes recalling existing statistical charts based on your need. When existing charts cannot meet the need, it can also generate a new statistical chart.

Recall an existing statistical chart

  1. Enter ShareAgent, and switch to Analysis Agent.
  2. Type or speak your analysis need.
  3. Wait for the matching statistical chart to appear in the session result.
  4. In the upper-right corner of the chart, choose to view it in full screen or view the chart details as needed.
Verification: A statistical chart that matches your question appears in the session, and the chart can be opened for details or viewed in full screen.
If no suitable existing chart is available, Analysis Agent generates a statistical chart based on the natural language.

Generate a new statistical chart

  1. Enter ShareAgent, and switch to Analysis Agent.
  2. Type or speak your analysis need, specifying the time range, metrics, and dimensions as clearly as possible.
  3. Wait for the statistical chart to be generated in the session result.
  4. In the upper-right corner of the chart, choose to view it in full screen or view the chart details as needed.
Verification: A statistical chart that matches your need appears in the session. The chart shows the correct metrics, dimensions, and time range, and can be used for AI insights or follow-up questions.
If the expected chart is not generated, add the time range or metrics and ask again. If the result does not meet your expectations, clarify the filter conditions, statistical criteria, or display dimensions through follow-up questions.

View AI insights and action recommendations

AI insights can be generated automatically in an Analysis Agent session, or initiated from a statistical chart entry for which AI insights are enabled.

View in an Analysis Agent session

  1. In ShareAgent, switch to Analysis Agent, and type or speak your analysis need.
  2. Wait for the system to recall or generate a matching statistical chart.
  3. In the AI Insight area below the statistical chart, view the data summary, trend analysis, and decision recommendations.

View from a statistical chart entry

Prerequisites: The current user can view the statistical chart, and the administrator has enabled AI Insight for the statistical chart. The page where the chart is located provides an AI insight entry.
Entry Operation
Statistical chart detail page Open the statistical chart detail page, click AI Insight at the top of the page, and view the data insight result for the current chart.
Homepage or custom page chart card Find the statistical chart card, and click AI Insight in the upper-right corner of the chart.
Dashboard chart card Find the statistical chart card, and click AI Insight in the upper-left corner of the chart.
Verification: The data insight for the selected statistical chart appears in the current entry, and you can view the data changes, analysis conclusions, and recommendations for the chart.
If the AI insight entry does not appear, contact the administrator to confirm that AI Insight has been enabled for the statistical chart.

Administrator: Enable AI insight for a statistical chart

Administrators can configure the AI insight entry for a statistical chart so that users can initiate AI insights directly from the statistical chart detail page, a homepage or custom page chart card, or a dashboard chart card.

Configuration prerequisites

  • You have permission to edit the statistical chart;
  • The statistical chart has been created and can be opened in edit mode;
  • After it is enabled, users at the corresponding entries can initiate AI insights for the statistical chart.

Configuration steps

  1. Enter the statistical chart edit mode.
  2. In the configuration area on the right, find AI Insight.
  3. Turn on the AI Insight toggle.
  4. Save the statistical chart configuration.

Verification and rollback

After it is enabled, open the detail page or chart card of the configured statistical chart, and confirm that the page displays the AI Insight entry. After you click the entry, you should be able to initiate data insights for the current statistical chart.
To roll back the configuration: enter the statistical chart edit mode again, turn off the toggle in the AI Insight configuration area on the right, and save the statistical chart.

FAQ

What if the expected statistical chart is not recalled or generated?
