Multi-dimensional Target Completion Analysis

Multi-Dimensional Target Management — Step 3: Analysis of Target Completion

1. Create a Multi-Dimensional Target Analysis Chart

Different assessment rules require analysis under different Subjects:

Assessment Object Assessment Dimension Supported Subjects for Analysis Chart Creation Entry
Personnel only Primary Dept. and Employee Name, used separately or together Employee Subject, Departments, or Target Management Subject Option 1: Reports - New Chart - From Template - Templates under Personnel Performance Analysis
Option 2: Reports - New Chart - From Template - Templates under Dept. Analysis
Option 3: Reports - New Chart - Custom Theme - Target Management
Account only Account Name only Account Subject or Target Management Subject Option 1: Reports - New Chart - From Template - Templates under Account Analysis
Option 2: Reports - New Chart - Custom Theme - Target Management
Account only Province/City or other account dimensions Target Management Subject Reports - New Chart - Custom Theme - Target Management
Products only Product Name only Products Subject or Target Management Subject Option 1: Reports - New Chart - From Template - Templates under Product Analysis
Option 2: Reports - New Chart - Custom Theme - Target Management
Products only Product category or other product dimensions Target Management Subject Reports - New Chart - Custom Theme - Target Management
Partners only Partner Name only Partner Subject or Target Management Subject Reports - New Chart - Custom Theme - Partner Statistics
Option 2: Reports - New Chart - Custom Theme - Target Management
Partners only Province/City or other partner dimensions Target Management Subject Reports - New Chart - Custom Theme - Target Management
Objects other than personnel, partners, products, accounts Any dimension Target Management Subject Reports - New Chart - Custom Theme - Target Management
Multiple different objects Any dimension Target Management Subject Reports - New Chart - Custom Theme - Target Management

Notes: - Chart permissions follow the Subject’s object permissions. - The Target Management Subject only allows analysis of target value and achieved value metrics; Employee, Account, Products, and Partner Subjects can analyze target and achieved values together with other metrics.

1. Build from System Templates

1.1 Employee, Account, Product Analysis Templates

  • In Employee Subject or Target Management Subject, you can analyze personnel target achievement. When analyzing department target achievement using the primary-department dimension, the primary-department refers to the employee’s primary Dept.
  • If you need to analyze department achievement by data ownership Dept. or by a custom Dept., use the Departments Subject and select the appropriate Dept. relationship when configuring the target rule.
  • The “Personnel Performance Analysis” section includes two built-in templates related to target analysis; they only support analysis of target rules that assess personnel.

  • Charts created in the Employee Subject enable combined analysis of target value, achieved value, and other metrics.

  • Account and Products Subjects provide the same analysis capabilities and are not detailed further here.

1.2 Custom Theme — Target Management

  • The Custom Theme > Target Management supports analysis of target rules for all assessed objects.
  • Supports multi-dimensional analysis of targets.

2. Target Completion Dashboard

On the Target Values list page, click the View Dashboard button to the right of each target rule to see the completion data for that rule.

3. Summary of Target Chart Capabilities

  • When the dimension is a date, the chart supports same-period and period-over-period comparisons for target value, achieved value, and completion rate.
  • Supports metric calculations, e.g., Completion Rate = Achieved Value / Target Value; Remaining Value = Target Value - Achieved Value. You can compute these using target and achieved values together with other metrics.
  • Allows combined statistical analysis of target and achieved values with other metrics within the Subject.
  • Dimensions: supports full-dimension analysis of Accounts, Products, and Partners for target completion, including flexible drill-down and detail viewing.
  • Supports two-dimensional analysis and chart types such as stacked bar, stacked line, and cross-tab.
  • Supports custom target charts and custom Dashboards.
