Stocktaking
Count inventory in the company warehouse or vehicle inventory. Visible count, blind count, and warehouse lock are supported.
Overview
💡 With stocktaking, you verify Actual Inventory against system records. Visible count and blind count modes are supported, and a warehouse lock prevents mistaken inbound or outbound during stocktaking.
Before you begin

Role permission: You must have the Stocktaking Record Type permission and be authorized for visible count or blind count.

Prerequisite: The stocktaking capability has been configured on the Workstation.

Dependency: Inventory Management must be enabled.
Steps
- In the Workstation, open the Stocktaking page and select the vehicle inventory to count.
- If the driver has permission for visible count (inventory quantity visible) or blind count (inventory quantity hidden), choose the counting method.
- Use the Stocktaking calculator to enter quantities while counting. The system automatically calculates the final counted quantity from multiple entries.
- For products that Enable Batch Management, count each batch’s inventory item by item.
- Confirm the stocktaking result and submit.
Expected results and verification
- A stocktaking record is generated, showing the variance between actual counted quantity and System Quantity.
- Related inbound and outbound documents are blocked during the warehouse lock.
- The stocktaking record shows the counting details for each pile and batch.
