Set monthly sales-volume targets by employee and product line, then aggregate them into annual targets.

Learn how to enter monthly target values by employee name and product line, then aggregate product-line targets to employee and annual targets. When you finish, you can view the hierarchical aggregation results on the target-value page.
Before you begin
- The rule uses order-product quantity as its metric, person and product as its dimensions, and month as its evaluation period.
Procedure
- From the Targets menu, select the monthly rule that uses order-product quantity as the metric and employee name and product line as dimensions.
- On the target-value page, add employee names first, then add the product lines for each employee.
- In the lowest-level monthly cells, enter a target value for each employee and product line.
- Select an employee subtotal row and aggregate the product-line targets to the employee. Select a quarter or annual column and aggregate it to get the period total.
Verify the result
The page displays monthly targets by employee and product line, along with the aggregated results.
