Split targets by department, person, and account

Learning objective and result

Before you begin

• The rule uses department, person, and account as dimensions, with quarter as its evaluation period.

Procedure

1. From the Targets menu, select the quarterly target rule with department, person, and account dimensions.
2. On the target-value page, add department names, employee names, and account names. Drill down from a department name to view child departments, then enter the total target value.
3. In the annual target column, split the annual target across quarters by evaluation period.
4. Starting from the total target, split values in order to departments, child departments, persons, and accounts.
