Split an annual target across quarters and through the department hierarchy to persons.

Learn how to split an annual total target across quarters, then distribute it through the department hierarchy to persons. When you finish, you can view the hierarchical split results on the target-value page.
Before you begin
- The rule uses department and person as dimensions, with quarter as its evaluation period. Enter the annual total target, then split it across quarters.
Procedure
- From the Targets menu, select the department and person rule, then add department names and employee names.
- On the target-value page, set the annual total target value.
- In the annual target column, split the annual target across quarters by evaluation period.
- Starting from the total target, split it in order to departments, child departments, and persons.
Verify the result
The annual target is distributed across quarters, the department hierarchy, and persons.
