View multilingual content

When you switch languages, BI applies the available translations to resource names, chart configuration, and text data.

Before you begin

Confirm that your enterprise has enabled multilingual support and that you selected a language in personal settings.

View translated resources

BI resources use translations from the Translation Workbench. Translated content appears in the selected language; untranslated content keeps its original value.

Translations can apply to folder names and descriptions, report and chart names and descriptions, dashboards, topics, metrics, targets, chart headers, dimensions, metrics, composite headers, and preset templates.

View multilingual data

BI supports multilingual values for text fields. When an object field has multilingual data configured and translated values entered, BI inherits those values, and after you switch languages, Account Name and other text data is displayed in the translated form.

Formula fields whose return value is text also inherit multilingual data configured in the backend.

Verify the result

Check that resource names, chart configuration labels, and text data use the selected language. Untranslated content should retain its original value.
