Pay with account balance

Deduct a sales order amount from customer fund account balances.

Overview

After Customer Fund Account is enabled, orders show Account Payment Amount, and Amount Pending Collection is reduced by that value. You can pay from the web, ShareOrder or the vendor portal, and mobile.

Before you begin

❗
  • Customer Fund Account is enabled.
  • The order CRM account has a fund account with enough balance.
  • The document has payout authorization. Rebate accounts must also meet rebate form rules.

Steps

Path 1: Web balance deduction

  1. Open the sales order list.
  2. Select the order and choose Balance Deduction.
  3. Select the fund accounts and confirm the amount.

Path 4: Order account component

  1. On the new order page, select the CRM account and products.
  2. Enter the deduction amount in the account component. Non-rebate accounts accept an amount directly. Rebate accounts use rebate form rules to calculate the usable amount.

alt text 4. After you confirm the amount, the system uses Direct Deduction to deduct the fund account balance and the rebate form amount.
📝
Rebate accounts do not support validated deduction that freezes first and deducts later.

Expected result

  • The order shows the account payment amount, and the Amount Pending Collection decreases.
  • The system creates an account transaction log with Expenditure Type expense and reduces the balance.
