Reverse an account freeze

Use red-ink offset to release frozen amount that cannot follow the document, without changing the source order or shipment.

Overview

A typical case is an order of 100 and a Shipping Amount of 80. If 100 stays frozen, red-ink offset can release the extra 20 without editing the documents.
This capability is in grayscale. The red-ink offset action does not appear until it is enabled.

Before you begin

❗
  • Customer Fund Account is enabled, and red-ink offset grayscale is on.
  • A freeze record cannot be fully released with the document.
  • You do not want to change the source document to release the freeze.

Steps

  1. Open the Account Freeze Records.
  2. Confirm that the frozen amount is greater than the amount still needed.
  3. Run Red-ink Offset on the extra frozen amount.

  • The extra frozen amount is released and available balance increases.
  • The original business documents stay unchanged for tracing.
