Income management overview

Income Management builds a process from business sources to Receivables around accounts receivable. It helps you confirm the receivable amount according to an agreement or actual settlement results, while reducing manual calculation and repeated entry.
After a Settlement is Settlement Completed, the system uses the Settlement Amount, Allocated Amount, and Record Type to support the receivable process.

Supported business scenarios

Income Management supports two ways to create Receivables:
  • Periodic Receivable Creation: Suitable for subscription or recurring billing. The system automatically generates Receivables on a fixed cycle.
  • One-Time Receivable Creation: Suitable for one-time transactions or project delivery. You manually create a Receivable from a Contract, Order, or Settlement.
One-Time Receivable Creation includes two business scenarios:
  • Contract-Based Receivable Creation: The transaction amount in the Contract or Order is clear, so you create the receivable plan according to the agreed amount.
  • Settlement-Based Receivable Creation: The amount depends on actual delivery or Service completion. You complete the Settlement first and then create the Receivable from the Settlement result.
Quick Receivable and Quick Receivable Automation Rules improve the efficiency of One-Time Receivable Creation; they are not independent receivable scenarios.

Core value

Capability Value
Periodic Automatic Receivable Automatically generates Receivables on a cycle and reduces manual work for subscription renewals
Contract-Based Receivable Creation Uses Product Details from a Contract or Order to create a receivable plan directly
Settlement-Based Receivable Creation Confirms the receivable amount according to actual delivery or Service Settlement and supports multiple Receivables
Quick Receivable Automatically calculates and distributes amounts to simplify installment collection plans
Rule-Based Creation Uses field mapping and applicable conditions to shorten the path from a Contract or Order to a Receivable

End-to-end process

  1. Choose Periodic Receivable Creation or One-Time Receivable Creation according to the Business Scenario.
  2. For One-Time Receivable Creation, select a Contract, Order, or Settlement as the Data Source.
  3. Enter the current receivable amount or collection ratio, and distribute the amount to Product Details.
  4. Complete the Receivable information and save or submit it.
  5. For Settlement scenarios, continue to check the Settlement total, generated receivable amount, and pending receivable amount.
[!NOTE] The Workflow, start timing, and APL function for Periodic Automatic Receivable are configured by the administrator. Business users do not need to create a Receivable manually for each cycle.
