Create campaign

Record a trade show, ad campaign, or Promotion Activity.

Overview

Campaigns provide one place to record acquisition activities. After you create a Campaign, users can maintain its status, members, and Sales Lead handoff results.

Before you begin

[!IMPORTANT] - Permission requirement: You need permission to create Campaigns. - Data requirement: Prepare the campaign name, Campaign Type, owner, and plan. - Responsibility boundary: This article covers front-office business operations only. It does not cover backend object or permission configuration.

Create a Campaign manually

In the CRM front office, open the Campaign list page.

On the list page, click Create.
On the create page, enter the campaign name.
Enter the campaign time, location, Campaign Type, and Campaign Description.
Complete other fields as needed. They are optional unless marked as required.

Click Submit.

Create from external data

Campaigns can also be created from external data.

Creation method	Use case
Batch import	You have an existing campaign list to enter in bulk.
API integration	A third-party system needs to synchronize campaign data.
ShareMarketing synchronization	Ads, events, livestreams, or conference campaigns already exist in ShareMarketing.

Expected result and verification

Open the Campaign list page.
Search for the campaign that you created.
Open the campaign details page.
Confirm that the campaign owner, status, and basic information are correct.

FAQ and troubleshooting

Issue	Cause	Resolution
You cannot see the create entry point.	Your account does not have create permission.	Contact an administrator to check Campaign permissions.
Saving fails.	Required fields are missing.	Complete the required fields shown on the page.
You cannot find the Campaign record.	List filters limit the visible range.	Switch to a Campaign preset view that you can access.
