Assign, transfer, and withdraw account pool accounts
Overview
An Account Pool administrator can assign Accounts, transfer them between pools, or withdraw assigned Accounts. These Account Management actions prevent ineffective retention.
Before you begin
Before you begin - You are an administrator of the target Account Pool. - The assignee meets the Account Pool membership, Claim Limit, and Account Retention Limit requirements. - Available actions depend on the Account status and Account Pool configuration.
Assign an Account
Use assignment when an administrator must designate an Assigned Owner.
- Open Account Pool and select the target Account Pool.
- Select an Account from the list, or open its details page.
- Click Assign and select the sales representative.
- Confirm the assignment.
After assignment, the sales representative becomes the Account owner and the Account status becomes Assigned. The system blocks assignment when the assignee reaches either applicable limit.
Transfer an Account
Use transfer when an Account needs a different Affiliated Account Pool.
- Select an Account from the Account Pool list, or open its details page.
- Click Transfer.
- Select the target Account Pool and confirm.
After the transfer, the Account moves from the original Account Pool to the target pool. Owner retention and other Processing Results depend on the page instructions and your organization’s rules.
Withdraw an Account
Use withdrawal when an assigned Account does not meet follow-up requirements or must be reassigned.
- Select an assigned Account from the Account Pool list, or open its details page.
- Click Withdraw.
- Review the prompt and confirm.
After withdrawal, the Account returns to the pool and waits for another claim or assignment. Automatic withdrawal rules can also evaluate follow-up and Deal Behavior.

Verify the result
- After assignment, the Account owner and status are correct.
- After transfer, the Account appears in the target Account Pool.
- After withdrawal, the Account returns to the Account Pool for reassignment.
