View the account tree and organization coverage

Overview

Use the Account Tree to understand a group structure and identify how your organization follows each Account.
Procurement, decision-making, and fulfillment may involve different companies within a group. The Account Tree helps you identify key entities, coverage gaps, and cross-selling opportunities.

Before you begin

Before you begin - You need permission to view the target Account or Account Master Data. - Your administrator has added the Account Tree component to the details page. - Organization follow-up distribution is available only for Account Master Data trees.

View the Account Tree

  1. Open the Account Tree component on the Account or Account Master Data details page.
  2. Locate the target company in the hierarchy on the left.
  3. In the tree on the right, click + beside a node to expand its child nodes.
  4. If the tree contains many nodes, click View more to find a company.
  5. If a company belongs to multiple trees, select the tree that matches your analysis goal.

Organization follow-up distribution
A gray node means the selected organization has not created the corresponding Account.

Understand nodes and data scope

  • An Account Master Data tree uses the Account Master Data object and supports organization follow-up distribution.
  • An Account Tree based on the Account object does not show organization follow-up distribution.
  • A gray company node usually means no corresponding Account or Account Master Data exists.
  • If you have permission, you can create a record from a gray node.

Troubleshoot display issues

Issue What to check

Child companies do not appear Expand the node or search for more companies; then check tree relationships and the ownership threshold
