Record lead follow-up


Record the Lead follow-up process.

Overview

Complete records of every customer interaction, such as phone calls, WeChat messages, or onsite visits, reduce information loss. They also support team collaboration and management sales reviews.

Before you start

[!IMPORTANT] - Role permissions: The current employee must have Edit permission for the Lead, such as Owner, subordinate Lead access, or authorization as a related team member. - Prerequisite: The Lead status must be Pending or In Follow-Up.

Steps

  1. In the main menu, go to CRM > Sales Leads. Lead list
  2. In the list, click the target Sales Lead to open the Sales Lead Details page.
  3. On the details page, click In Follow-Up to open the Follow-up Record dialog. Follow up with Lead
  4. In the input box, enter follow-up details. For example, note that the customer confirmed an upcoming system tender and expects to release the tender document in the middle of next month.
  5. In Next Follow-up Time and Next Follow-up Key Points, enter the planned next follow-up time and key points.
  6. Optionally select a processing result to send as a Sales Record.
  7. Check the entered information, then click OK. Save follow-up information
[!NOTE] The system has an automatic status transition mechanism. If the current Sales Lead status is Pending, the first Sales Record or processing result changes the status to In Follow-Up automatically.

Expected results and verification

  • The Sales Record is published successfully and displayed in reverse chronological order in the Sales Records list.
  • If Lead status was Pending, it changes to In Follow-Up automatically after publishing.

Troubleshooting

  • If the operation fails, check permissions, object status, and target scope first.
