Claim leads


Claim Not Assigned Leads from a Lead pool.

Overview

Lead claiming lets sales reps obtain Opportunities from a Lead pool based on their expertise, such as industry experience or regional proximity. It improves sales initiative and speeds up responses to new Leads.

Before you start

[!IMPORTANT] - Role permissions: The current employee must be a pool member of the target Lead pool. - Prerequisite setup: The Lead pool configuration type must be Visible and claimable by employees. - Holding quota control: The current employee’s Lead holding quantity must not exceed the administrator-defined limit.

Steps

  1. In the main menu, go to CRM > Lead Pool.
  2. In the Lead pool list on the left, click the pool you want to open, such as the North Region public pool. Lead pool list
  3. In the Lead list, select one or more Leads with the Not Assigned status.
  4. In the action bar above the list, click Claim. Claim Leads > [!NOTE] > To review Lead details before claiming, click the Lead name, then click More in the upper-right corner and select Claim.
  5. In the confirmation window, click Confirm. Confirm claim
[!NOTE] Only Leads with the Not Assigned status can be claimed. If the Lead pool does not allow members to claim Leads, contact the administrator for assignment.

Expected results and verification

  • The selected Sales Leads are claimed from the Lead pool.
  • Lead status changes from Not Assigned to Pending.
  • The Owner field is automatically updated to the employee who claimed the Lead.
  • The Lead appears in the employee’s Sales Leads for me to follow up preset view.

Troubleshooting

  • If the operation fails, check permissions, object status, and target scope first.
