Assign leads
Assign Leads to specified users.
Overview
A structured assignment mechanism helps high-value Leads reach the most suitable sales reps.
Lead pool administrators can manually assign Leads in the frontend based on team capability, follow-up status, and other dimensions.
This maximizes Lead conversion rate.
Before you start
[!IMPORTANT] - Role permissions: The current employee must have Lead pool administrator permission for the current Lead pool, or global Edit permission for Sales Leads. - Lead status: Leads in a Lead pool must be Not Assigned, Pending, In Follow-Up, or Invalid.
Steps
Method 1: Assign Leads in bulk from the list page
- In the CRM frontend navigation, click Sales Execution > Lead Pool.
- In the list on the left, select the target Lead pool.
- In the Lead list, select one or more Sales Leads to assign.
- In the action bar above the list, click Assign.

- In the Assign Leads dialog, click the Owner field, then search for and select the receiving sales rep.

- Click OK.
Method 2: Assign a single Lead from the details page
- In the CRM frontend navigation, click CRM > Lead Pool.

- Click the Lead Name of the target Lead to open the details page.
- In the upper-right corner, click Assign, or open the More drop-down menu and select Assign.

- In the dialog, search for and select the target Owner.
- Click OK to finish the assignment.

[!NOTE] After assignment, the system records the action in the Lead’s follow-up history and change log.
[!NOTE] Default Lead pool assignment can send newly pooled Leads directly to specified employees. If the receiver exceeds the holding quota, assignment may fail.
Expected results and verification
- After successful assignment, the Sales Lead Owner changes to the specified sales rep.
- Lead status changes to Pending.
- The receiver gets a real-time system task reminder and notification.
Troubleshooting
- If the operation fails, check permissions, object status, and target scope first.
