Transfer leads

Transfer Leads to another Lead pool.

Overview

Lead transfer is mainly used to reallocate resources across sales teams or regions. Manual transfer in the frontend moves misassigned Leads, cross-region Leads, or Leads with changed ownership to a more suitable Lead pool. This helps sales resources get handled in time.

Before you start

[!IMPORTANT] - Role permissions: The current employee must be a Lead pool administrator for both the source and target Lead pools, or have global Edit permission for Sales Leads. - Prerequisite setup: At least two Lead pools are enabled in the system. - Dependency: The Lead to transfer must be in a routable status, such as Not Assigned or Pending.

Steps

Method 1: Transfer Leads in bulk from the list page

  1. In the CRM frontend navigation, click CRM > Lead Pool.
  2. In the list on the left, select the source Lead pool where the Sales Lead currently belongs.
  3. In the Lead list, select one or more Sales Leads to transfer.
  4. In the action bar above the list, click Transfer. Lead pool Lead list
  5. In the Transfer to Lead Pool dialog, select the target Lead pool. Select target Lead pool
  6. Click OK to finish the transfer.

Method 2: Transfer a single Lead from the details page

  1. In the CRM frontend navigation, click CRM > Lead Pool.
  2. Click the Lead Name of the target Lead to open the details page.
  3. In the upper-right corner, click Transfer. If it is not shown, open More and select Transfer. Select transfer from Lead details
  4. In the Transfer to Lead Pool dialog, select the target Lead pool from the drop-down list. Select target Lead pool
  5. Click OK to save the transfer result.
[!NOTE] After transfer, the Lead remains in a pool, but its owning Lead pool changes. The original Owner is cleared.

Expected results and verification

  • The transferred Sales Lead disappears from the source Lead pool and appears in the target Lead pool list.
  • In the Lead attributes, Owning Lead Pool changes to the target Lead pool.
  • Administrators and follow-up users of the target Lead pool can view the Lead in the frontend.

Troubleshooting

  • If the operation fails, check permissions, object status, and target scope first.
