Overview of the product creation and maintenance process
Select the appropriate Product creation and maintenance path according to the Item and multiple-Unit feature status configured by the administrator.
The flow also checks whether the Product has Has Specifications enabled before you choose a creation scenario.

Checks after creation
After saving, check the following according to the current mode:
- The basic mode creates one independent Product.
- A non-variant Item creates one Item and one related Product.
- A variant Item creates the Product for the current variant combination.
- Public Item information synchronizes to related Products.
- Multiple Units for a variant Item are maintained centrally by the Item and synchronized to all related Products.
- After a Product is created, the Product Price and other business values can be maintained according to the applicable Price Book.
