Procedure

  1. In the Products module, click New Product or open the Product to maintain.
  2. On the Product page, enable Multiple Units?.
  3. In the Unit section, add the Units used by the Product.
  4. Set the conversion rules between Units.
  5. Select and maintain a Base Unit.
  6. Confirm that conversion ratios do not contain a Duplicate Configuration. The system validates conversion-ratio uniqueness.
  7. Click Save.

Expected results

  • The Product is associated with multiple Units.
  • The Product saves the conversion rules between Units.
  • The Product can use the configured Units in business documents such as Quotes, Sales Orders, and Sales Contracts.
  • Conversion ratios for the same Product remain unique.
  • The Product has at least one Base Unit.
  • Product Price is returned according to the selected Unit and applicable Price Book.
[!WARNING] When both the Item and multiple-Unit features are enabled, the Item centrally maintains multiple Units for a variant Item, and the Product page cannot edit them independently. Follow Create a Product for a Variant Item.
