Use the Price Lookup Tool to query the effective price for an Account, Product, and Available Sales Scope combination.
Overview
Sales users and Customer Service users can use the Price Lookup Tool on the homepage to query the effective Product Price and Available Sales Scope for a specific Account, Product, or combination. This avoids creating an Order only to check a price.
Before you start
[!IMPORTANT] - Role permissions: You need Sales or Customer Service permissions. - Prerequisite configuration: The administrator has enabled the required permission in Business Function Permissions > Role Permission Settings > Price Books > Price Lookup Tool. - Query basis: The system returns results according to enabled Price Books and Available Sales Scope.
Procedure
- Find Tools on the system homepage.
- Click Price Lookup Tool in Tools.
- Select a query method on the Price Lookup page.
Query by Account and Product
- Select the target Account in the Account search box.
- Select the target Product in the Product search box.
- View the Sellable Range Name, Price Book, Priority, and Discounted Sales Price in the results.
Query by Product
- Select the target Product in the Product search box.
- View the Sales Price and Discount Rate for the Product in enabled Price Books.
- View the Available Sales Scope for the Product.
Query by Account
- Select the target Account in the Account search box.
- View the Available Sales Scopes matched by the Account.
- View the Price Books for each Available Sales Scope.
Expected results
The Price Lookup Tool returns the Sales Price, discounted Price Book price, and Available Sales Scope rule name that match the query conditions.
