Use available sales scope in business documents
When you select an Account and Product in a business document, the system automatically filters Sellable Products and returns the price.
Overview
Available Sales Scope applies to business documents that support Product selection, such as Opportunities, Quotes, Sales Contracts, and Sales Orders.
After you select an Account, the system matches Available Sales Scope according to the current business user or business Owner. It displays only Products in the scope and fills in the Product Price and Discount from the Price Book.
Before you start
[!IMPORTANT] - Role permissions: You need New or Edit permission for the target business document. - Prerequisite configuration: The administrator has enabled Price Books and Available Sales Scope. - Dependencies: The administrator has configured at least one effective Available Sales Scope and prepared a Price Book for the business document.
Procedure
- Create or edit a business document on the Opportunity, Quote, Sales Contract, or Sales Order page.
- Select the trading Account in the document’s Account field.
- In the Order Products section, click Add from Price Book Details in Bulk.
- In the Select Data window, view the filtered Product list.
- Select the Product to sell.
- In the Select Data window, click Confirm.
- Check the Sales Price and Discount returned from the Price Book in the document details.
Expected results
- The Product selection list displays only Products in the current Available Sales Scope.
- Products not configured in an Available Sales Scope do not appear in the selection list.
- After you select a Product, the system fills in the Sales Price and Discount from the Price Book.
- The Product Price remains available in the document details for review.
[!WARNING] If Available Sales Scope is enabled but the current business user has no effective scope, or no Sellable Products are configured, the Product selection window is empty. Contact the administrator to complete the configuration.
