Configure credit limit release

Release extra occupied credit when a document is not fully shipped or fully converted to a receivable, and you do not want to change the original document.

Overview

The standard product does not currently provide order or order-line close. A project can add a custom Close Order button that calls a function to release credit occupancy. The system creates a negative occupancy record.
This page comes from the Credit Management guide and implementation guide. It is implementation configuration, not a standard frontend menu.

Before you begin

❗
  • Credit Management is enabled.
  • Historical occupancy cannot be released automatically with shipment, return, or refund.
  • Implementers can configure custom buttons and functions.

Steps

  1. Confirm that the business does not clear occupancy by editing the order, shipment, or receivable.
  2. On the order or a similar object, add a custom Close Order button that calls the function to release credit occupancy.
  3. Run close on a test record that already shipped but still shows occupancy.
  4. Open credit occupancy details and confirm that a negative occupancy record was created and the original occupancy was offset.
📝
If Account Freeze Records cannot be fully released, use red-ink offset on the customer fund account side. That action is for account freeze, not credit occupancy. Do not mix the two.

Verification

  • After close, a negative occupancy record appears and Occupied Amount decreases.
  • The original business documents stay unchanged for tracing.
