Coupon configuration overview

Understand Coupon configuration objects and boundaries.

Overview

Coupon configuration supports the E-Coupon lifecycle of creation, distribution, claim, and usage. Administrators mainly maintain Coupon Programs and Coupon Instances. A program defines rules, and an instance applies those rules to a specific Account.

Core concepts

Concept Administrator focus
Coupon Program Defines benefit strength, validity dates, usage Type, and usage conditions.
Coupon Instance Represents a Coupon actually owned by an Account. It records the Account, Face Value, and Usage Status.
Product condition Controls which products an order must Include before the Coupon can be used.
Mutual exclusion Controls whether a Coupon can be used with a Pricing Policy or Rebate.
Usage Type Controls whether the benefit affects Amount Pending Collection or affects order amount and line Unit Price.

What is a Coupon

A Coupon is a marketing business action. An enterprise uses it to provide discounts, reductions, or other benefits to Accounts. The goal is to encourage purchase behavior or improve brand loyalty. Coupons can be Paper Vouchers or E-Coupons.
In ShareCRM, the Coupon system supports an E-Coupon lifecycle. The lifecycle includes creation, distribution, claim, and usage. The Account is usually a C-end Account or a small-b store. When an Account meets conditions, the enterprise distributes Coupons. The enterprise can also launch Coupon campaigns and distribute Coupons to Accounts. Coupons are redeemed after they are issued or claimed.

Coupon benefits

For merchants:
  • Increase sales: Coupons attract New Accounts and encourage existing Accounts to buy more. This can increase sales amount or average order value.
  • Increase brand exposure: Coupon distribution improves brand awareness. Long-term distribution also helps build stable Account relationships.
  • Collect and analyze Account data: Claim rate and usage data help the enterprise understand Account needs and marketing effects.
  • Adjust strategies flexibly: The enterprise can adjust Coupon campaigns based on market response.
For Accounts:
  • Save costs: Coupons can reduce purchase costs.
  • Discover new products: Coupons encourage Accounts to try new brands or New Product offerings.
  • Improve convenience: E-Coupons simplify the process used by Paper Voucher scenarios.

Coupon product structure

The ShareCRM Coupon system includes four stages. The stages are creation, distribution, claim, and usage. The system currently supports Threshold Reduction Coupon.
  1. Create Coupons: Configure a Coupon Program based on the target benefit, including the discount amount and usage conditions. For example, reduce CNY 10 when the order reaches CNY 100. You can also require the Account to buy beverage products before the Coupon can be used. The Coupon Program is a template and is not tied to a specific Account.
  2. Distribute Coupons: Distribute the Coupon Program to target Accounts in a single Batch or multiple batches. The enterprise can control the distribution time and Account scope. This stage is performed in ShareMarketing.
  3. Claim Coupons: Accounts in the distribution scope can claim Coupons. The claim creates a usable Coupon Instance. This stage is performed in ShareOrder.
  4. Use Coupons: After a Coupon Instance exists under an Account, orders for that Account can use the Coupon to offset the corresponding amount.
