Enable pricing policies and backend configuration

Pricing policies are value-added services. They must be enabled separately in Setup, and they cannot be disabled after enablement.

Overview

Administrators first enable pricing policy capabilities, and then configure specific policies and rules.
After enablement, the system uses pricing policies to process promotions. Pricing policies are mutually exclusive with the legacy promotion feature.

Before you begin

[!IMPORTANT] - Role permissions: You need permission to configure related settings in Setup. - Service conditions: Pricing policies are value-added services. The tenant must have the corresponding service. - Impact scope: Pricing policies cannot be disabled after enablement and are mutually exclusive with legacy promotions.

Steps

  1. Go to Management > Business Rule Management > In-Sales Management Configuration.
  2. In Promotion and Rebate Configuration, enable pricing policies.
  3. After confirmation, go to the frontend pricing policy list to maintain specific policies.

Changes after enablement

  • The company can use pricing policies to configure promotion rules.
  • The legacy promotion feature is mutually exclusive with pricing policies.
  • When sales users create orders, the system matches promotions by pricing policy.
  • The object enabled for pricing policies, which defaults to sales orders, receives preset fields for calculating and displaying promotion information. Existing amount-related preset fields have their formulas reset and cannot be adjusted.

Expected result and verification

  1. In the pricing policy list, confirm that you can create a pricing policy.
  2. Create a test order and confirm that the system matches promotions by pricing policy.
  3. If legacy promotions were enabled earlier, confirm that pricing policies cannot be enabled at the same time.

Notes

[!WARNING] After pricing policies are enabled, they cannot be disabled. Confirm the company’s promotion management plan before enablement.
