Configure pricing policies
Define basic pricing policy information.
Overview
A pricing policy carries the basic settings for a promotion activity. It determines whether the policy applies to the whole order or to product lines.
It also determines the priority when multiple policies match at the same time.
Before you begin
[!IMPORTANT] - Role permissions: You need permission to create and edit pricing policies. - Prerequisite configuration: Pricing policies have been enabled in Setup. - Business preparation: Define the promotion method, applicable accounts, product display scope, and priority.
Creation method
Pricing policies can be created from the pricing policy list in CRM.
Steps
- Go to CRM > Order and Payment Collection Management > Pricing Policies.
- On the pricing policy list page, click New.
- In basic settings, select the modification type.
- Set the pricing policy priority.
- Configure applicable accounts for the pricing policy.
- Configure promotion products.
- Configure pricing rules.
- Save the pricing policy.

Basic settings
| Configuration item | Description |
|---|---|
| Modification type | Defines where the content to be modified is located in the document. - Order-level promotion: Applies promotion benefits to the whole order and modifies some order-level information. - Product promotion: Applies promotion benefits to order detail lines and modifies some detail-line information. |
| Priority | When multiple pricing policies match, the system applies the policy with the highest priority by default. A smaller number means a higher priority. |

Applicable accounts
Applicable accounts for a pricing policy can be set to:
- All accounts.
- Accounts that meet specified conditions.
- Specified accounts.
When you set specified conditions, you can add up to five filter items and filters.
When you set specified accounts, you can batch add accounts by account name, or select account data in the Account Name column.

Promotion products
Promotion products are used to display the Promo tag during order entry. They help sales users identify products displayed as promotion products.

[!NOTE] Promotion products are not the actual product scope of a pricing policy. Configure the actual product scope in pricing rules.
Expected result and verification
- Create a test order.
- Select an account in the applicable account scope.
- Add a product in the promotion product scope.
- Check whether the product line shows the Promo tag.
- Continue to configure or verify whether pricing rules run.
