Configure pricing rules

Define specific promotion methods.

Overview

One pricing policy can contain multiple pricing rules. When multiple rules in the same group match, the system applies the rule with the highest priority.
For different groups, one rule applies per group.

Before you begin

[!IMPORTANT] - Role permissions: You need permission to edit pricing policies and pricing rules. - Prerequisite configuration: A pricing policy has been created. - Business preparation: Confirm the promotion type, rule conditions, product scope, and execution result.

Rule types

Rule type Applicable promotion
Pricing rule Amount-based promotions such as discounts, reductions, and fixed prices.
Gift rule Buy-and-get promotions.
Bundle pricing Amount-based promotions after any combination of multiple products.
Bundle buy-and-get Buy-and-get promotions after any combination of multiple products.

  1. Open the target pricing policy.
  2. In the pricing rules area, click Add Configuration.
  3. Select an amount-based rule type.
  4. Set rule conditions.
  5. To use an aggregation value, select a prepared aggregation rule in the rule condition.

Pricing rule basic settings
Rule conditions:
  • You can select business fields on the order master object. Fields used during or after price calculation are not included.
  • You can also select prepared aggregation values. An aggregation value is a result calculated from order fields by a rule, such as the total quantity of all products in a category in the current order.
Order condition settings
Execution result means the promotion adjustment that the order or order detail actually applies. It defines what the pricing rule modifies.
Rule condition references an aggregation value
  • For a detail-object pricing rule, which is a product promotion, you can also set detailed product conditions or other additional conditions.
  • For a master-object pricing rule, which is an order-level promotion, this setting is not required.
After you select the execution threshold condition, the system multiplies the modification amount by how many times the condition value is met. For example, if every 100 CNY reduces 5 CNY, then 200 CNY reduces 10 CNY.
Execution result settings
Execution threshold condition
The execution result is the actual promotion adjustment on the order or order detail. You can select number, amount, or percent fields on the object. For example: unit price minus 5, subtotal multiplied by 0.9, or discount equal to 0.8.
Unit price, discount, and amount have special processing. The system does not directly modify one field. It first calculates the benefit amount, and then derives the impact on these fields.

Configure gift rules

  1. Open the target pricing policy.
  2. In the pricing rules area, click Add Configuration.
  3. Select a gift rule type.
  4. Configure promoted product conditions.

Fixed gifts

Fixed gifts can contain multiple gifts and corresponding quantities. After the order meets the rule, every gift is given.
Fixed gift settings
After you click Add Promoted Product, the system adds a gift line named Promoted Product. You can customize the gift quantity.
Promoted product means the product that executes this pricing rule when the order is created. For example, if the product Milkshake is in the product scope of Pricing Policy A, which is a gift promotion, and the gift is Promoted Product, the system adds Milkshake during order entry.
Add promoted product gift

Optional gifts

Optional gifts can contain multiple gifts and corresponding quantity ranges. Users can select one or several gifts.
A single selection cannot exceed these limits:
  • Total gift quantity.
  • Gift type limit.

Expected result and verification

  1. Create a test order that matches the account and product scope.
  2. Enter a quantity or amount that meets the rule conditions.
  3. Save the order.
  4. Check whether the price, amount, or gift line changes by rule.
