Posting notes

  • If the rebate form type is Amount-Based Rebate, or if the Usage Method of a Product Rebate is Rebate by Amount, posting creates the corresponding income flow for the account and increases the balance.
  • If the Usage Method of a Product Rebate is Rebate by Quantity, posting does not create an income flow and the account balance does not change because the Customer Fund Account only manages money, not quantity.

Automatic posting

  1. Go to Customer Fund Account Management > Account Authorization.
  2. Configure Automatic Posting.

Automatic posting mapping

Rebate form type Account type for automatic posting
Amount-Based Rebate; Product Rebate with Offset Payment Received / Allocated Discount Usage Method Rebate account
Product Rebate with Rebate by Amount Usage Method Product compensation account
Product Rebate with Rebate by Quantity Usage Method Quantity compensation account

Expected results and verification

  • Amount-Based Rebates and amount-based Product Rebates increase the corresponding account balance after posting.
  • Quantity-based Product Rebates do not change the account balance after posting.

FAQ

  • If the Post button is missing, confirm that the rebate form is within the effective period and its Enable Status is enabled.
  • If automatic posting does not work, check the automatic posting settings in Customer Fund Account Management > Account Authorization.
  • If the balance does not change, confirm that the rebate type matches the Usage Method.
