Product Rebate
A Product Rebate is a rebate of specific products or goods that a company gives to downstream distributors or customers. The distributor can claim the corresponding product on the next order. After a rebate product line is added, its deal price and deal amount are both 0.
Overview
Product Rebates are managed as physical products or product redemptions. After a rebate form is posted, you can redeem the corresponding product in an order.
Create a Product Rebate form
Basic information

| Subject | Enter the name of the rebate form. |
| Applicable Account | Select the account that owns the rebate form. |
| Enable Status | Set whether the rebate form is enabled. Only enabled rebate forms can be used. |
| Rebate type | Select the rebate form type, such as Product Rebate. |
Usage Method
| Option | Description |

| Rebate by Quantity | Total limits the total quantity of rebate products. |
| Rebate by Amount | Total limits the total amount of rebate products. |
Amount information
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Total | Enter the total value of the rebate form, such as 5,000. The meaning depends on Usage Method. |
| Used | The system automatically counts how much of the rebate has been used, by amount or quantity. |
| Remaining | The system automatically calculates the remaining rebate amount or quantity. |
Validity and ownership

| Effective date | Set the start date when the rebate form becomes available. |
| Expiration date | Set the end date when the rebate form becomes unavailable. |
| Owner | Select the employee responsible for the rebate form. |
| Assigned Department | Select the department that owns the rebate form. |
Posting and source

| Posted | Read-only. Shows whether the rebate form has been posted to a Customer Fund Account. |
| Posting account | Read-only. If the form is posted, shows which account received it. |
| Rebate generation policy and rebate generation rule | Records the source of the rebate form if it is generated from a policy. |
| Original Value of Rebate Generation | Used to calculate the source document value for this rebate form. |
| Expected rebate | The rebate value calculated from Original Value of Rebate Generation and the generation rule. |
| Rebate Generation Batch | Records the batch result for recurring rebate generation. |
Product conditions
The order must include the following products before it can use this rebate.

Rebate products
These settings define which products the customer can receive as rebate products.

| Specified range | Use any field on the product object as a condition. The customer can choose only products that match the condition as rebate products. |
| Designated Product | The customer can choose only specific products as rebate products. |
Rebate rules
- After posting, Product Rebates can be redeemed as 0-price product lines on orders.
- Product Rebates support both Rebate by Amount and Rebate by Quantity.
