Maintain tree relationships

  • When creating a node, select the company, Root Node, and Parent Node.
  • Use a node change to move the node under another Root Node or Parent Node.
  • Set a node as the Root Node to separate it and all child nodes into another tree.
  • Review historical changes in the relationship Modification Record.

Automatic tree creation rules

  • If a company has several investors, the system selects the investor with the highest ownership percentage as the single parent.
  • The system excludes circular ownership relationships when it cannot identify parent and child companies.
  • The system excludes relationships below the configured ownership percentage threshold.
  • The Account Tree updates after a relationship changes.
Use the following page to move a node, separate a Root Node, or review change history:
Change a node position
Note: Before moving a node, confirm that the Parent Node is under the selected Root Node. This prevents an incorrect Hierarchy.

Verify the configuration

  1. Confirm that the Account Tree hierarchy is correct on the target details page.
  2. Expand child nodes and confirm that the relationships are complete.
  3. Confirm that the relationship change appears in the change record.
The Usage Method for an Account Tree based on the Account object is the same, but it does not support organization follow-up distribution:

Maintenance recommendations

  • Assign one person or team to maintain Root Nodes and key relationships.
  • For a large group, create the group headquarters first and then add child companies.
  • Review relationship change records and the ownership percentage threshold regularly.
