Configure the contact influence map component and relationship object
Overview
Display Contact reporting relationships and influence on the Account details page.
Before you begin
Before you begin - You need permission to configure the Account object layout. - Your organization has a license for the Account Contact Influence Map. - Plan Contact roles and parent-child relationships.
Configure the component
- Find Account Contact Influence Map on the Account object layout configuration page.
- Drag the component to the required layout area.
- Select which card fields to show or hide.
- Choose whether field names are Visible.
- Select a color or label style for each Single Select field.
- To highlight roles, place Single Select fields in the four card corners.
- Save the layout.

Maintain relationship data
The Contact Influence relationship object uses Belongs to Account, Parent Node, and Associated Contact Name to build the map. Every node in one relationship chain must belong to the same Account.

Note: Do not create parent-child relationships across Accounts. Keep one top-level node for each Account, when possible.
Verify the configuration
- Open the Influence Map on an Account details page.
- Enter the edit view and add a test node.
- Save the map and confirm that the display view shows the correct Hierarchy.
