Configure and manage chats
Set Chats application scope, basic rules and administrator permissions.
Before you begin
- You need to have Chats application management rights.
- If there is no Chats management entry point in Setup, please check the application permissions first.
Configure application scope
- Go to Setup > Application List > Chats.
- Open the Chats application configuration.
- Set up Chats application administrator.
- Set the visible range of the application.
- Save the configuration.
Configure Chats basic rules
- Go to Setup > Chats Management > Basic Settings.
- Set whether intra-organization messages are allowed to be forwarded to the organization Internet.
- Configure external contact rules.
- Configure system message rules when group members change.
- Save the configuration.
Verify configuration
- Log in to the user-facing interface using an employee account within the applicable scope.
- Confirm that the Chats entry point is visible.
- Check the quarantine results using a test account that is not in scope.
- Change members in the test group and check system messages.
