Configure business group settings
Enable group chat types by business object to enable employee collaboration around CRM data.
Before you begin
- You need to have Chats management rights.
- The target CRM object already exists.
- This article uses the current name “Business Group Settings”.
View business group
- Enter Setup > Chats Management > Business Group Settings.
- View the group name, objects it belongs to, creator, creation time and status.
- Check whether the default business group is enabled.
The system can preset types such as customer groups, international groups, department groups, lead pool groups, and Opportunity groups.
By default, the business group only resolves employees in the team related to the object. When it is necessary to parse departments, roles or user groups in relevant teams into business group members, the organization needs to apply for the Relevant team members of the business group (customer group) to support parsing the departments, roles and user groups in the relevant teams on the object details page phased-release feature.
Create a new business group type
- In the upper right corner of the business group settings page, click New Business Group.
- Enter the group name.
- Select the object.
- Complete the configuration required on other pages.
- Save and activate.
Enable or disable
- In the action column of the target business group, click Enable or Disable.
- Confirm the status change.
After being disabled, employees cannot continue to create new business groups of this type, but historical business groups that have been created can still be used.
Configure interconnection business group
- Edit the target business group type.
- Enable the interconnection business group capability.
- Save the configuration.
- Use the applicable role to verify the object details page and group entry point.

After closing the interconnection business group, the interconnection groups that have been created in history can still be used, but new ones cannot be created.
