Configure calendar objects and calendar management


Configure calendar event fields, permissions, layout, and the scope of objects that can create calendar events.

Configure calendar event object

  1. Enter CRM Platform Management > Object Management > Default Object Management > Calendar event.
  2. In Basic Information, check the calendar event object information.
  3. In the field list, modify the field names that are allowed to be adjusted as needed.
  4. In role permissions, configure calendar event permissions.
  5. In the layout, configure the details page and mobile summary layout.
  6. In Record Type, edit the default record type.
The calendar event’s list page layout and create/edit page layout use default settings and cannot be customized.

Configure object calendar event range

  1. Go to Setup > CRM Platform Management > Business Rule Management > Calendar event Management.
  2. Click Add Object and select the object that needs to be quickly created in the calendar event view.
  3. Set the usage range, field name, start time, and end time displayed in the calendar event view for the object.
  4. Save and enable the configuration.

After the configuration takes effect, employees can click the drop-down button on the right side of New Calendar event in the calendar event application to select and create the configured object data.

[!NOTE] New Calendar event is used to create a calendar event; the object name in the drop-down menu is used to create the corresponding object data. The mobile version currently only supports field planning objects, and the web version supports all configured objects.

Verify configuration

  1. Log in to the user-facing interface using the target role.
  2. Create a new calendar event from the calendar event app.
  3. Check the fields, permissions, and record types.
  4. Expand the New Calendar event drop-down menu, confirm that the target object is visible, and verify that employees within the usage scope can create object data.
