Configure and manage feeds
Assign Feeds management roles and control app visibility.
Permission model
Feeds system administrator and CRM administrator have different roles. CRM administrators cannot access Feeds management by default and must be assigned corresponding roles by the Feeds system administrator.
Configure application scope
- Go to Setup > Application Center Management > Work Circle.
- Open the overview page.
- Set up Feeds administrator.
- Set the visible range of the application.
- Save the configuration.
Assign administrators by role
- Enter Work Circle > Management Role.
- Select View by Role.
- Select preset management roles such as announcements, reports, and approvals.
- Add or remove employees.
- Save the configuration.
Assign roles by employee
- In Admin Role Configuration, select View by Employee.
- Select target employees.
- Edit the employee’s default management role.
- Save the configuration.
Verify configuration
Log in to Setup using a test account that has been assigned a role, and confirm that only the management portal it is responsible for is displayed.
Control employee entry point
The module and component layout of Feeds itself cannot currently be adjusted. To restrict employees from entering Feeds, remove Work from the main navigation layout and prevent employees from customizing the main navigation. Before making this change, confirm that it will not affect employees’ use of other work entry points.
