Configure list page layouts and scenarios

Configure list layouts and Filter Scenario values to organize browsing, search, and Batch Operation interfaces.
These interfaces help users locate and process Business Data.

Overview

A list page layout controls how object data appears. A record-selection list follows the main list by default. Scenarios narrow the Data Range. Administrators configure enterprise scenarios, and users configure personal scenarios.
List page layout

Before you begin

  • Configure the target object and fields.
  • Identify common filtering and comparison dimensions.
  • Define the buttons that users need in the list.

Procedure

Step 1: Configure the desktop list layout

  1. Sign in to Setup, and go to Object Management.
  2. Open the object, go to Layout, and select List Page Layout.
  3. In the left navigation, choose:
    • General components, including list, embedded page, chart, navigation, and dashboard.
    • A dashboard or chart for standard or custom BI reports.
    • An embedded page with variables and a configurable height.
[!NOTE] The destination can block embedding through its security policy. Verify it in the user interface.
    • Tab Container, Grid Container, or Custom Component.
  4. Drag components on the center canvas.
  5. In the right settings area, configure scenario visibility, views, quick filters, buttons, and summary fields.

Step 2: Configure the mobile list

The mobile list inherits the desktop layout by default. Select the list in the preview and enable Standalone Configuration to configure:
  • Card or table display.
  • Flat or Dropdown Display of scenarios.
  • Independent mobile quick filters.
  • General and bulk buttons.
  • Summary fields for numbers and amounts.
  • An independent record-selection list layout.

Step 3: Configure enterprise Filter Scenario values

Preset scenarios

  • All: All data allowed by Data Permission.
  • Owned by Me: Records where the current user owns the Related Teams.
  • Participated by Me: Records where the current user is a Regular Member.
  • Owned by My Departments: Records in an Assigned Department managed or assisted by the user.
  • Owned by My Subordinates: Records owned by users whose Reports To value is the current user.
  • Participated by My Subordinates: Records where those subordinates participate.
  • Shared With Me: Records shared by a sharing rule.
  • Following: Records the user follows.

Custom enterprise scenario

  1. In Enterprise Filter Scenario Management, click Create Scenario or copy a scenario.
  2. Configure the Affiliated Object, name, API Name, description, and Applicable Scope.
  3. Configure the Data Range:
    • Filter by Record Type.
    • Inherit a preset scenario as Completion Conditions.
    • Add field conditions.
  4. Configure Web fields, or follow the Record Type field order.
  5. Configure mobile fields independently. Advanced layouts support Multi-Line Text, colors, images, and card templates.
  6. Optionally synchronize Web and mobile field settings to other scenarios.

Step 4: Enable multiple views

  • Split View: Shows a card list on the left and details on the right. Cards use the first three configured fields. Quick filters are unavailable.
Split View
  • Map view: Available on Web when the object has a location field. Configure fields in the map bubble.

  • Calendar view: Requires a field-level required Date Time field. Supports day, week, and month, with calendar-only or calendar-plus-list modes.

Step 5: Set the default scenario priority

  • Sort any scenario that has not been deleted, including disabled scenarios.
  • The system selects the first scenario whose Applicable Scope matches the role.
  • Personal scenario settings take priority over tenant settings. Users must Reset to Default to receive later enterprise changes.

List button behavior

General buttons

  • Main lists support create, import, export, image or attachment export, Duplicate Tool, Smart Form, pull-order, and custom buttons.
  • Related lists support create, relate, unrelate, Smart Form, and custom buttons.
  • Record-selection lists support create and follow the main-list configuration.

Batch Operation buttons

Main lists support export, lock, unlock, tag, Change Owner, and Add Team Member. They appear after a user selects data.

Quick actions

Main lists support conversion and custom actions. Mobile cards show exposed single-record actions from Web; mobile tables do not.

Step 4: Configure multiple views

Select views that match the object’s data:
View Recommended use
Table view Routine browsing and Batch Operation
Split View Review list cards and record details side by side
Map view View objects with location fields geographically
Calendar view Manage objects with Date Time fields by time

Step 5: Set scenario priority

  1. In Scenario Priority, select a role.
  2. Set the scenario shown by default for that role.
  3. Save the configuration.

Step 6: Configure list page buttons

List page buttons include general buttons, Batch Operation buttons, and quick actions.
Button type Location Examples
General button Upper-right corner of the list Create, import, export, Duplicate Tool, and custom buttons
Batch Operation button Above the list after selection Export, lock, unlock, tag, and Change Owner
Quick action Operation column for one record Convert and custom buttons
Web supports exposed-button settings for some buttons. Mobile usually does not support exposed buttons, so verify the mobile layout configuration.

Expected results

Users can browse data by scenario. Fields, quick filters, buttons, and summaries match the configuration.

Notes

  • Personal scenarios override enterprise scenarios.
  • Users can restore system defaults.
  • Split View does not support quick filters.
  • Map view requires a location field.
  • Calendar view requires a field-level required Date Time field.
