Configure CRM menus


CRM menus control object and feature entries in the CRM application.

Overview

Create several tenant-level menus and use Applicable Scope to show different menus to teams. Employees can maintain personal menus when permitted.

Before you begin

[!IMPORTANT] - You need System Administrator permission. - Confirm that required objects and menu items are available. - Identify applicable employees, departments, or roles.

Create a tenant-level CRM menu

  1. Go to Setup > Interface Customization Management > CRM Menu.
  2. Click New.
  3. Enter an Application Menu Name of up to 50 characters.
  4. Enter a Menu Description of up to 2,000 characters.
  5. Select the Applicable Scope and click Next.

Configure menu items

  1. Move required items from all items to selected items.
  2. Drag items into the business order and create groups when needed.
  3. Configure the Quick Create Entry and icons.
  4. Click Save.

Setting Description
All Menu Items Available system items on the left.
Selected Menu Items Items shown in this menu.
Menu Groups Groups items by business category.
Drag to Sort Changes group and item order.
Quick Create Entry Shows or hides Quick Create.
Icons Shows or hides item icons.

Maintain menus

Edit the menu, verify its Applicable Scope, and save. Ask employees to refresh or restore their personal menu defaults.

Notes

Personal menus can override tenant changes. Custom Objects may take up to one hour to appear because of caching. Some Standard Objects cannot be exposed. Legacy mobile CRM does not show custom items or custom pages.

Sidebar behavior

Mode Default behavior Note
With icons Shows expand and collapse controls. Users can collapse the sidebar.
Without icons Hides those controls. Collapsing may require a product rollout setting.

Expected result

Employees in scope can switch to the menu and see items in the configured groups and order.
