Configure platform applications
Platform applications host Web and mobile app views.
Overview
Create a platform application and configure separate Web and mobile app views. Use one to provide a dedicated workspace for sales, channel, or operations teams.
Before you begin
[!IMPORTANT] - You need System Administrator permission. - Identify the applicable employees, departments, or roles. - Configure required custom pages and charts first.
Create a platform application
- Go to Setup > App Center Management > App List.
- Click New Platform Application.
- Enter an Application Name of up to 10 characters.
- Select or upload an Application Icon.
- Enter the Feature Introduction.
- Select the Applicable Scope.
- Click Save.

Configure a Web app view
- Open the Web App View tab and click New Template.
- Enter the template name, a priority from
0to9, the Applicable Scope, and the Page Layout.
- Select menus.
- Add up to three scenarios, tools, schedules, or tasks to the toolbar.
- Add page components and click Save.

| Template Name | Required name of the Web app view. |
| Template Priority | The highest applicable priority loads first. Higher numbers have higher priority. |
| Applicable Scope | Controls visibility by employee, department, or role. |
| Page Layout | The original product material lists five layouts. |
| Toolbar | Add up to three scenarios, tools, schedules, or tasks. |
| Global Search | Global Settings control availability and search-box style. |
Configure a mobile app view
- Open Mobile App View and click New Template.
- Enter the name, priority, and scope. Select a single-page or bottom-navigation layout.
- Configure components and click + in the bottom navigation.
- Select an object or page entry and click Save.

Keep frequently used entries in bottom navigation. The editor contains a component list, canvas, Global Settings, and Component Settings.
Enable and maintain the application
Use Enable, Edit, or Delete from the application list.
[!WARNING] Deleting a platform application also deletes its configuration. Confirm that employees no longer use it.
Expected result
Employees in scope can open the application and its configured Web or mobile view.
