Complete an end-user task

Use an invitation to provide customer information or service feedback required by a work order.

Overview

At an end-user task node, the organization can provide a QR code, SMS link, email link, or web task page. The customer completes the task, or an authorized internal owner can complete it for them when configured.

Before you begin

  • You received a QR code, SMS, email, or web task link.
  • Prepare information and feedback for the current work order.
  • If sign-in is required, prepare the linked end-user account.

Procedure

  1. Open the task entry from the QR code, SMS, email, or web link.
  2. If prompted, sign in with the end-user account.
  3. Verify the linked work order, customer, and service.
  4. Enter the requested problem details, feedback, confirmations, or other task fields.
  5. Verify all required fields and entered content.
  6. Select Submit or the displayed primary action.
  7. Review the page result and confirm that the task content was submitted.

Expected result

  • The task content is saved to the linked work order or business record.
  • The page shows the submission result. Whether the work order advances immediately depends on the configured task completion conditions.
  • Your account can continue to view progress and later notifications.

Troubleshooting

The task link does not open

Confirm that the link is valid and sign in with the linked account. Ask the service team to resend an expired invitation.

You do not have access after signing in

Your account might not be the invited user or might not have access to the linked work order. Verify the sign-in mobile number and recipient. Do not use a link forwarded by another person.

The submit action is unavailable

Complete all required fields and confirm that the task is still pending. A task already completed by another user, completed on the customer’s behalf, or ended by a rule might no longer accept submission.

Notes

  • Enter information only for the current work order.
  • Fields, the primary action label, and completion rules depend on configuration.
  • For agent-assisted completion, verify the content with the service team first.
