Track work order progress
View the current process node and service progress in the end-user portal.
Overview
Open work order details from the portal list or a notification link. The page shows progress and service information available to your account.
Before you begin
- The work order was submitted through an organization-provided entry, or your connected-user account has access to it.
- Open the organization’s web portal.
- Sign in with the account associated with the submitter or work order contact.
Procedure
- On the portal home page, select Track Work Orders or Work Orders.
- Select a work order from the list.
- Review its number, problem, service information, and process progress.
- Review the displayed status, current node, or service personnel.
- Return to the list to review another work order.
You can also open the work order link from an SMS notification. Sign in with the account associated with the work order when prompted.
Expected result
- Details show the process progress available to your account.
- Fields and process nodes that the organization has not exposed remain hidden.
- Unauthorized work orders do not display details.
Troubleshooting
You cannot find the work order
Sign in with the account used for submission and check list filters. For a work order created by an employee, the contact or external user must be associated correctly.
The work order appears without progress
The organization might not expose the progress component, or your account might lack data access. Contact the service team.
A notification link reports insufficient access
Sign in when prompted and confirm that the account matches the notification recipient. Do not use a work order link forwarded by another person.
Notes
- Displayed nodes and fields depend on configuration.
- Notification delivery and portal data can update at different times. Reopen the work order details to view the current state.
- Do not forward work order details links to unrelated people.
