Channel statements
Order, shipment, return, and Payment records are common Source Object values in a Reconciliation Plan.
Configure a Reconciliation Plan
After enablement, the system presets one Reconciliation Plan. Default sources are order, Payment, return, and refund objects. Admins can edit the Reconciliation Plan. Create multiple Reconciliation Plan records for multiple scenarios.
In data source configuration, specify the Source Object, fields shown on the statement, the reconciliation Account Field and date field, and filters.
Initialize the Reconciliation Plan and generate statement objects
After you edit the Reconciliation Plan, initialize it. The system generates a Reconciliation Statement Details object. The master object Transaction Reconciliation Statement is a Standard Object. The detail object name matches the data source name.
NOTE: The generated statement detail object is a Custom Object and consumes Custom Object quota.
Adjust the statement object as needed, such as adding a Roll-Up Summary, other Custom Field values, and layouts.
Detail-object fields come from the Reconciliation Plan. Only fields added there are copied into statement instances.
NOTE: Do not add fields directly on the statement detail object.
After object configuration, configure a print template. Initiate Reconciliation calls the print template to generate a PDF attachment.
NOTE: The print template has no detail object by default. Configure the detail object.
The system presets a Business Process. Adjust it when you need internal review or complex routing, then start it on the statement or start it automatically.
Initiate Reconciliation
After the statement is Created Successfully, start reconciliation. Select Initiate Reconciliation on the details page, or initiate in bulk.
When creating a statement, you can select multiple accounts. After submit, the system generates multiple Transaction Reconciliation Statement records.
Confirm Reconciliation
After upstream Initiate Reconciliation, downstream can see pending statements in Partner Portals. If BPM is enabled, a to-do BPM process appears.
On details, select Confirm Reconciliation, or use Confirm Reconciliation on the BPM process, then complete the dialog.
