Channel statements

Overall channel reconciliation Business Process

alt text #### Statement configuration
Enable statements
Channel reconciliation is a separate license. Apply for a limited rollout first. After it is enabled, Setup shows the Channel statements module as off. Select Enable.
alt text NOTE: Reconciliation currently supports account entities only. Partner is not supported yet.
Configure a Reconciliation Plan
After enablement, the system presets one Reconciliation Plan. Default sources are order, Payment, return, and refund objects. Admins can edit the Reconciliation Plan to complete initialization. Create multiple Reconciliation Plan records if the enterprise has multiple reconciliation scenarios.
alt text In data source configuration, specify the Source Object, fields shown on the statement, the reconciliation Account Field and date field, and object data filters.
Initialize the Reconciliation Plan and generate statement objects
After you edit the Reconciliation Plan, initialize it. The system generates a Reconciliation Statement Details object. The master object Transaction Reconciliation Statement is a Standard Object. The detail object name matches the data source name in the Reconciliation Plan.
NOTE: The generated statement detail object is a Custom Object and consumes Custom Object quota.
Adjust the statement object as needed, such as adding a Roll-Up Summary from the detail object, other Custom Field values, and layouts.
Detail-object fields are adjusted in the Reconciliation Plan. Only fields added in the Reconciliation Plan are copied into statement instances.
NOTE: Do not add fields directly on the statement detail object.
alt text ##### Configure a print template
After object configuration, configure a print template. Initiate Reconciliation calls the print template to generate a PDF attachment.
NOTE: The print template has no detail object by default. Configure the detail object.
alt text ##### Configure a BPM process (optional)
The system presets a Business Process. If you need internal review or more complex routing, adjust the preset BPM process and start it on the statement, or start it automatically.
alt text NOTE: This step is optional. If you do not enable it, select Initiate Reconciliation directly.

Business operations

Create a statement
After configuration, search Transaction Reconciliation Statement in CRM, select New, choose the account and time range, and enter Beginning Balance.
If the data volume is small, the system generates it immediately. If the volume is large, wait and check the Completion Mark field.
NOTE: The first release supports manual creation only. Auto-create will be added later.
alt text alt text ##### Initiate Reconciliation
After the statement is Created Successfully, start the reconciliation process. Select Initiate Reconciliation on the details page, or initiate in bulk.
The operation inserts an attachment and a Reconciliation Confirmer. The attachment is generated from the print template. The Reconciliation Confirmer is a downstream Channel Users record of the current account.
Bulk Initiate Reconciliation: manufacturers that reconcile with multiple accounts weekly, monthly, or quarterly can create statements in bulk to improve accuracy and reduce operations cost.
When creating a statement, you can select multiple accounts. After submit, the system generates multiple Transaction Reconciliation Statement records.
Confirm Reconciliation
After upstream Initiate Reconciliation, downstream can see pending statements in Partner Portals. If BPM is enabled, a to-do BPM process appears.
On details, select Confirm Reconciliation, or use Confirm Reconciliation on the BPM process, then complete the dialog.
