Merchant Business Scope
- Merchant Business Scope Description
To help brand owners manage dealers more precisely, merchant Business Scope is introduced. The brand owner can set a specific Business Scope for each dealer and authorize the Product Scope that the dealer can sell to lower-level channels. The brand owner can choose whether to turn on Business Scope control.
Set whether to enable Business Scope control.
- Create a merchant Business Scope
Based on brand-owner management scenarios, create a Business Scope for the merchant and enable Business Scope control.
NOTE: After merchant Business Scope control is enabled, dealers can maintain the allowed-sales catalog and pricing for lower-level channels within the brand-owner authorized Business Scope. Only products in the Business Scope can be sold to a Subordinate Account.
- Enable Business Scope control. The system can automatically send a CRM notice to the channel merchant.
After you configure merchant Business Scope, enable Business Scope control. The system presets the channel merchant saleable scope and Price Book. After enablement, the system can automatically send a CRM notice. Later disablement or Business Scope changes also send notices.
Channel Users
After a channel merchant is generated, you can create an external account and assign the Channel admin and Channel distribution clerk roles. If ordering is also needed, add the Ordering clerk role.
NOTE: If you select the Channel Distribution preset Channel admin or Channel distribution clerk, you must Associate a Related Partner.
