Overview
Select products and submit orders in the correct business organization so the account, price, and order ownership stay accurate.
Before you begin
❗
-
Applicable scope: Matching advanced capability enabled.
-
Role and permission: Use an enabled ordering account.
-
Prerequisites: The upstream enterprise has opened the mall and configured sellable products.
Steps
Choose an ordering organization and place an order
Multi-Org ordering applies when a group has multiple sales divisions or subsidiaries, and each organization runs different businesses and channel accounts. Products, prices, and orders are isolated by the current organization.
❗
Multi-Org capability must be purchased separately, and an admin must complete organization, account, and data permission configuration. This topic only describes ordering-clerk operations.
- Sign in to ShareOrder and confirm the business organization shown on the current page.
- If the user can access multiple organizations, open the organization switcher and select the organization for this order.
- Open the mall and confirm that products, prices, and saleable scope match the selected organization.
- Select products and submit the order. Check the Assigned Organization, account, and receiving information on the order.
- To order for another organization, switch organization first, then select products and submit again. Do not mix data from different organizations in the same order.
- Account, Price Book, promotion, rebate, order, shipment, and outbound data of each organization may be isolated from each other.
- After you switch organizations, not seeing the original order does not mean the order is lost. Switch back to the order’s organization and query again.
- If the page has no organization switcher, the current user is authorized for only one organization, or the admin has not completed Multi-Org configuration.
Expected results
- After you finish, confirm the Processing Result of ordering across organizations on the related list or detail page.
- Refresh or reopen the page and confirm the status and business data did not change unexpectedly.
- Confirm the current result can continue into later order or fulfillment processes.
