Enable the Medical Device DMS plugin

Overview

Initialize medical device objects, fields, and page layouts.

Before you begin

❗
  • Permissions: You can configure system settings and plugins.
  • License: You purchased Manufacturing DMS and the Medical Device DMS plugin.
  • Prerequisites: Manufacturing DMS is enabled or in first initialization.

Enable during first initialization

  1. On the Manufacturing DMS initialization page, select the Medical Device DMS plugin.
  2. Submit initialization.
  3. After initialization, open the Distributor Management app.

  1. In system settings, go to Configuration overview > Medical device industry plugin configuration.
  2. Click Enable.
  3. Confirm the initialization configuration.
  4. After initialization, check the new medical device page templates.
  5. In System settings > Industry plugin configuration, open the setup guide.

How to verify

  • The Distributor Management app shows medical device page templates.
  • Objects for initial qualification documents, registration certificates, authorization, and inventory flow are visible.
  • The industry plugin configuration page shows that the plugin is enabled.

Notes

Enablement initializes medical-device objects, fields, and layouts. Validate the impact in a test environment first.
