Assign export account and product layouts
Overview
Let export roles maintain account and product extension fields.
Before you begin

Permissions: You can configure object layouts and record types.

Prerequisites: The export configuration pack is initialized.

Business prep: You confirmed the roles and record types that use export operations.
Configure the account layout
- In account layout configuration, find the international trade layout
fs_layout_oversea__c. - Assign that layout to the export account record type.
- Check the Account Alias, trading country, trade terms, and payment terms fields.
- Save the configuration.
Configure the product layout
- In product layout configuration, find the export product layout
fs_layout_oversea__c. - Assign that layout to the export product record type.
- Check English name, codes, packing, and customs fields.
- Save the configuration.
Also control layout visibility by role.
Use an export role to create accounts and products, and confirm that the extension fields appear.
Notes
Assign layouts by record type and role. Confirm that the change does not affect existing pages for non-export users.
