Configuration Target Rules
Step 1 in the multi-dimensional target management process: Configure Target Rules
- The target rules define the multi-dimensional management rules for enterprise goals, including assessment objects, assessment dimensions, assessment indicators, fiscal year, assessment cycle, applicable scope, etc.
- Operating Role: CRM Administrator or management Roles with permissions for Management > Business Rules Management > Target Rules

I. Process for Configuring Target Rules
1.1 Example of Business Scenario 1: The company wants to assess the order performance of sales departments and sales personnel
- Scenario Breakdown
- Who is assessed? –> Personnel
- Assessment dimension? –> By Dept., by employee
- What specific business is assessed? –> Sales Order. Sales Order Amount
- Fiscal year for assessment? –> 2021, 2022 fiscal year
- Assess personnel achievement by data owner, creator, or other personnel relationship? –> Owner
- Assess Dept. achievement by data belonging Dept. or owner’s primary Dept.? –> Belonging Dept.
- Configure Target Rules
- Rule Name: Assess Personnel Order Performance
- Assessment Object: Personnel
- Assessment Dimension: Dept.-Employee
- Fiscal Year: 2021, 2022
- Starting Month: March
- Assessment Indicator: Sales Order. Sales Order Amount
- Statistic Date: Refers to the business meaning of “Date” when using “Date” as a filter in the Chart, such as filtering this month, which refers to “Order Date” in the order data of this month, so choose “Order Date” here.
- Personnel Relationship: Refers to the business meaning of personnel when setting target values and assessing personnel target achievement, whether the personnel is the data owner, creator, or other custom relationship, choose owner here.
- Dept. Relationship: Refers to the business meaning of Dept. when setting target values and assessing Dept. target achievement, whether the Dept. is the data belonging Dept. or owner’s primary Dept., choose belonging Dept. here.
- Assessment Indicator Restriction Conditions: Define what business data conditions will be counted towards the completion value, such as filtering out data with the status “Voided” here.
- Split Sub-targets: When you need to further split into more detailed sub-targets according to a certain dimension, you can choose “Yes” and select the specific dimension field for splitting, such as further splitting by the source or Record Type of the Sales Order.
- Select Departments for Assessment: You can choose the entire company or specific Departments. Here, choose the Sales Dept.
- Allow Personal Modification of Targets: Controls whether individuals can edit target values
- Firstly: When the employee’s Role does not have “Edit” permission for the target value object, they cannot edit regardless of whether the rule is checked “Allow Personal Modification of Targets.”
- Secondly: When the employee’s Role has “Edit” permission for the target value object.
- Rule checked “Allow Personal Modification of Targets”
- Regular employees can edit their own targets, superiors can edit subordinates’ targets, Dept. heads can edit targets of employees under the Dept. and the Dept.’s targets.
- Superiors and Dept. heads can edit targets they have permission for, including targets of “Personnel” Shared With Me.
- Rule not checked “Allow Personal Modification of Targets”
- Regular employees cannot edit their own targets (including superiors and Dept. heads cannot set targets for themselves), superiors can edit subordinates’ targets, Dept. heads can set targets for employees under the Dept. (Dept. heads cannot set targets for their own Dept.).
- Rule checked “Allow Personal Modification of Targets”
After saving, the target rule defaults to “Disabled” status. Once confirmed that the rule no longer needs modification, “Enable” the target rule. Only enabled target rules can be visible under the “Target” menu, allowing for target value setting.

1.2 Example of Business Scenario 2: The enterprise has several key Accounts and wants to quantify the assessment of these Accounts’ sales
- Scenario Breakdown
- Who is assessed? –> Account
- Assessment dimension? –> Account Name
- What specific business is assessed? –> Payment Collection Details. Current Payment Amount (RMB)
- Fiscal year for assessment? –> 2021, 2022 fiscal year

- Rule Name: Assess Account Sales
- Assessment Object: Account
- Assessment Dimension: Account Name

- Starting Month: March
- Assessment Indicator: Payment Collection Details. Current Payment Amount (RMB)
- Statistic Date: Refers to the business meaning of “Date” when using “Date” as a filter in the Chart, such as filtering this month, which refers to “Payment Date” in the payment data of this month, so choose “Payment Date” here.
- Assessment Indicator Restriction Conditions: Define what business data conditions will be counted towards the completion value, such as choosing the status “Paid” here.
- Split Sub-targets: When you need to further split into more detailed sub-targets according to a certain dimension, you can choose “Yes” and select the specific dimension field for splitting, such as further splitting by the source or Record Type of the Sales Order.
- Rules for Accounts and Products do not have the “Allow Personal Modification of Targets” configuration, defaulting to the employee’s Role “Edit” permission for the target value object.

- Split Sub-targets: When you need to further split into more detailed sub-targets according to a certain dimension, you can choose “Yes” and select the specific dimension field for splitting, such as further splitting by the source of the order, setting different target values for Products from different sources.
- Rules for Accounts and Products do not have the “Allow Personal Modification of Targets” configuration, defaulting to the employee’s Role “Edit” permission for the target value object.

- Statistic Time Zone: Refers to the aggregation time zone of the statistic date. In this example, the statistic date is “Order Date,” and the statistic time zone is UTC+8, meaning the “Order Date” converted to UTC+8 in the order data of this month.
- Personnel Relationship: Refers to the business meaning of personnel when setting target values and assessing personnel target achievement, whether the personnel is the data owner, creator, or other custom relationship, choose owner here.
- Dept. Relationship: Refers to the business meaning of Dept. when setting target values and assessing Dept. target achievement, whether the Dept. is the data belonging Dept. or owner’s primary Dept., choose belonging Dept. here.
