Create a product for a non-variant item

Applicable scenario

Before you start

[!IMPORTANT] - Prerequisite configuration: The administrator has enabled the Item feature. If multiple Units are required, the administrator has also enabled the multiple-Unit feature. - Basic information: Prepare the Item Name, Product Category, Unit, and other information. - Entry point: Open the Products module and use the New feature.

Create when only the Item feature is enabled

1. In the Products module, click New Product.
2. On the new page, set Has Specifications to No.
3. Enter Item and Product information, including the Product Name.
4. Click Save.

Create when both Item and multiple-Unit features are enabled

1. In the Products module, click New Product.
2. Set Has Specifications to No.
3. Set Multiple Units? to Yes.
4. Add the Units used by the Product.
5. Set the conversion rules between Units.
6. Click Save.

Expected results

• The system automatically creates one Item.
• The system automatically creates one Product associated with the Item.
• One non-variant Item corresponds to one Product.
• In Item mode, public information such as Product Category and Unit is inherited from the Item and cannot be edited independently on the Product page.
• When both features are enabled, the Product maintains multiple Units for the non-variant Item.
• Product Price is returned according to the applicable Price Book.
