Configure duplicate checks for available sales scopes

Enable duplicate checks for available sales scopes to reduce repeated rules for the same account conditions.

Overview

The duplicate check switch determines whether the system checks scopes with the same account applicability. After you enable it, the creator receives a duplicate reminder and can download a duplicate data list.

Before you start

[!IMPORTANT] - Permissions: You need CRM setup configuration permissions. - Prerequisite: The available sales scope feature is enabled. - Use case: The enterprise has many scopes or several administrators maintain them together.

Steps

  1. On Setup > Price Management Configuration, find the Available Sales Scope Duplicate Check switch.
  2. Select Enable Available Sales Scope Duplicate Check.
  3. Save the configuration.

Duplicate rules

The system checks duplicates only within the same account condition type:
  • All Accounts against All Accounts.
  • Meets Specified Conditions against Meets Specified Conditions.
  • Specified Accounts against Specified Accounts.
Different condition types do not trigger a duplicate check. For example, All Accounts and Specified Accounts are not duplicates solely because they cover the same account.

Notifications and handling

When the system detects a duplicate scope:
  1. The creator receives a Duplicate Available Sales Scope reminder in CRM.
  2. The creator downloads the duplicate data list.
  3. A configuration administrator handles the duplicate rules according to the list.
[!NOTE] The switch is off by default and can be changed repeatedly. Keep it off when there are few scopes and configuration is standardized.

Configuration terminology

Use Designated Account and Meet Specified Conditions to group duplicate checks. Confirm the Applicable Scope before enabling the switch.
